My mother, who was very devoted to Our Lady, was on her ninth transit to Lourdes. We were at a morning Mass that was being suppose at the grotto. The grotto surrounds the place where the spring was dug by St. Bernadette at the direction of the Virgin Mary hersel f. There is a beautiful statue showing the likeness of The Virgin Mary. There are crutches hanging that were left by those cured. When suddenly out of nowhere ii blank doves came to rest on either view of the crucifix. The crucifix was behind beat Leon who was leading the service that day. These cardinal doves remained perfectly still.

They never fluttered a feather or start the smallest of sounds. The beautiful black-and-blue birds remained that way for about 30 minutes. When let Leon closed the mass by saying, The Mass has ended, go in peace, The doves flew off as quickly and as quietly as they had arrived.
